Cargo
A downloadable game
Introduction
You are crew on a cargo container owned by Miyazaki-Tanaka Advanced Industrial. The job is tedious, you transport cargo from one destination to another, most of the time you have no interest in what you are carrying as long as you get paid.
Once your journey starts you spend the first couple of days making final checks around the ship. On longer journey you spend in hyper-sleep while the synthetic runs the ship, the beauty of this is you still get paid whilst sleeping on the job. As you near your destination you are awoken a couple of days before arrival where you make final checks before docking/landing and unloading your cargo. Rinse....repeat.
This is just another one of those monotonous missions...
The Game
In Cargo you play a crew on a transport ship, something has gone wrong. It is inspired by films such as Silent Running (1972), Alien (1979), Outland (1981), The Thing (1982), Blade Runner (1982), Sunshine (2007), Moon (2009). The game uses the Breathless SRD, where skills and items are all assigned a die rating, going from 1d4 to 1d12. To resolve a challenge, roll and try to get a 4 or higher to succeed. The catch is, each time you do so, the die rating you picked goes down
The game includes several random tables to generate your ship name; your cargo; a story hook; what just happened; weapons. It also includes some adjective suggestions for the GM to help describe sounds, darkness and fear.

Huge game :) As a Breathless designer myself, I want to share my love for this book. Recently played an “alienating time paradox” hard sci-fi scenario with a single player and we had a blast with all the table inputs. :)
I always expand a bit on the Role utility and such, but in general, this game works wonders to show the genre. :)
I might advice, for any future revamps, that Role might grant more than a d12, like customisable stunt actions (I did a similar thing in my Breathless Dungeons game, you can check out the preview to see what I mean, if interested :) )
I might polish and post my above mentioned Cargo scenario someday soon :)
A short video review of Cargo can be found here!
Really well laid out! I was impressed with how you expressed the genre. The dice tables all look really good too. Very smart design. :) Thank you!
Thank you for your feedback, much appreciated
